Serious games: creativity and innovation in education

Explore and reflect on playful, innovative ways to teach and learn through games.

Come to Lausanne from April 26th to 30th 2027 and see what games can do for learning. Play, experiment, and explore how they help pupils connect, create, and express themselves.

HEP Vaud 2027 International Week

Workshops will cover:

  • Play, learning, and child development
  • Teaching sustainability and nature conservation through games
  • Creating games that are accessible to all
  • Digital games as teaching tools

A forum with game designers, teachers, and students will be a chance to swap ideas and share experiences. Already working on this topic? Bring a game you've created and share it with the group.

Terms and conditions

  • Level B2 according to the CEFR in English is required
  • Open to Bachelor or Master students from Universities of Teacher Education studying to teach pupils aged 5 to 12 years old.
  • Participation fees 150 EUR: accommodation, breakfast, lunch, public transport card (Lausanne area) and cultural activities included.
